Five Adventure Parks to Visit in 2022

We're in for a spring/summer of full-blown adventure and fun as more and more amazing adventure centres and outdoor recreation parks reopen across the country. Here are some of the top spots to put on your list this year:

Fota Island Adventure

Head down to East Cork for an adventure that will (quite literally) keep you on your toes. A wide range of activities, 22 acres of woodland, and a hands-on team make Fota Island Adventure the perfect location for a day of outdoor fun.

Wildlands

There's something for adults and kids alike at Wildlands, where the possibilities are endless - seriously, it'll probably take you a couple of visits to experience them all.

From rock climbing and ziplining to kayaking, orienteering, and yoga, there's plenty to keep big kids entertained, while the little ones will love exploring the Fairy Trails, handmade Play Village (Baile Beag), and Mini Diggers.

Clonakilty Park Adventure Centre

Planning a visit to the home of Ireland's most famous black pudding? Don't forget to check out the Clonakilty Park Adventure Centre, nestled within the grounds of the Clonakilty Park Hotel.

Tralee Bay Wetlands

Tralee Bay is brimming with natural beauty, and one of the best ways to take it all in is with a visit to Tralee Bay Wetlands. This activity and eco-centre gives you everything you need to take in some of Kerry's most spectacular views.

Get out on the water with a pedalo, try the outdoor climbing wall, visit the indoor interactive exhibits, or explore the grounds and discover more about the animals and plants native to the area. Best of all, Tralee's waterpark - Aqua Dome - is right next door, and is well worth a visit!

Adventure Park at Kartworld Cork

So much more than just a state-of-the-art karting track, Adventure Park at Kartworld promises a great day out with their range of outdoor team activities. Try your hand at karting, paintball, archery, laser tag, sumo suit wrestling, or gladiator jousting!
