The Historic Town Trail

The walk takes you through the medieval town of Youghal, with a number of stopping points where you receive information about the location. The town has had many famous visitors - from Oliver Cromwell to John Huston (it was here he made part of the film Moby Dick). It is a looped walk, starting and finishing at the Tourist Office. There are refreshments at the Tourist Office and restrooms. There is also lovely little museum and a bookshop with many local history books and other tourist guides. The walk, at a gentle pace, should take about 90 minutes.
