This offer is one you can "beat"! Make your own bodhrán, decorate it and learn to play it. But there is one condition - you must be a man. Obviously, you need "cojones" to play the bodhrán, but you do get refreshments, lunch and all for free!
Youghal Community Health Project invite you to take part in our FREE 'hands-on’ workshop- how to make and play a bodhrán. All materials are supplied to make a complete bodhrán (ie frame, goatskin, crossbars tacks etc.) After the bodhrán is complete you are shown how to personalise your bodhrán with a design of your choice followed by a lesson on Jigs and reels.
Lunch and refreshments provided on the day. This workshop is funded by Healthy Ireland and is a men-only health initiative.
