Youghal

<p>There are several beautiful walks featured on the Youghal App.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Try the Famine Walk! In 14  small stages, you get to see the Great Famine and how it affected Youghal - the Soup Kitchen, Relief Schemes, Workhouses... The App guides you along with a little explanation of each stage and you begin to understand how Youghal went from almost 13,000 to just over 4,000 people.</p>
<p>The Historic Town Trail takes you around one of Ireland's most amazing towns - St. Mary's Collegiate Church still has the original 13th-century roof! Walk in the footsteps of Walter Raleigh (once mayor of Youghal), Oliver Cromwell, William Penn (father and son),  Daniel O'Connell (whose son was mayor of Youghal) Charles Stuart Parnell,  Gregory Peck and John Huston. Youghal is steeped in history. Visit the iconic Clock Gate.</p>

<p>Or take a stroll along the Boardwalk. There are five coffee popup shops operating if you feel like stopping. You start at the Front Strand, walk over to Claycastle Strand, past the old Army firing range ( mentioned by William Trevor in the Story of Lucy Gault) and over to Redbarn.  You are walking along the beach on the Boardwalk with just miles and miles of sand.</p>
<p>You could visit the magical Glenbower woods where there are three colour-coded walks in a mystical forest. You might even meet the very shy Sheelagh na Gig, or see the early Christian baptismal font, or the old medieval roadway, or just enjoy a stroll in the woods. There was once a lake up there.</p>

<h5 style="text-align:center;">Views along The Knockadoon Cliff Walk</h5>
<p>The Knockadoon Cliff Walk brings you past a Napoleonic Watchtower,  a Word War sentry post and you see Capel Island up close. The scenery is spectacular and there is the Ardmore Cliff Walk.... and just flick through the App you will find something! There are a few cycling trips as well and if you need to rent a bike - it is all on the App.</p>
