Blackwater Cycle - Stage 2

Clashmore to Cappoquin - This stage of the route starts at the Clashmore Heritage Centre and takes you along winding wooded roads to the banks of the Blackwater. You will follow the course of the river to Cappoquin. In the 1980s at Lefanta, just south of the town, 7,000-year-old artifacts were discovered, which evidence some of Ireland's earliest inhabitants. This road is busy, please be aware of your surroundings at all times and use the appropriate safety equipment.
