Tralee is Now Live on the Xplore Platform!

We would like to extend a huge welcome to the town of Tralee which has just gone live on the Xplore platform!

We are delighted that Tralee now has a digital platform to serve the needs of locals and tourists alike — especially in times like these when shopping and exploring locally has never been more important.

Tralee has now become part of our growing network of towns that extends from Galway to Kerry, to Cork and Carlow. It's indicative of a wider movement in towns across the country, where enterprising locals are seeking out new and efficient ways to boost their local economies, attract tourists and promote their towns' amenities.

Over the past number of months, Xplore has been working with Tralee Chamber Alliance to transform their previous app and website into a complete digital infrastructure for the town.

Tralee Chamber Alliance President, Kevin McCarthy, commented:

'We believe that Tralee has so much to offer and we are committed to shining a light on the things that make Tralee so unique — this new platform just makes it so easy to find out everything about Tralee. We know that having access to the right information at any given time is so important in this day and age. That’s why the new App and Website bundles everything together, from accommodation, attractions, shopping to self-guided tours, hikes & trails and more. We must also thank Cara Credit Union, MIG Insurance and Kerry County Council for their incredible support to get the initial platforms up and running.'

The quaint, historic Tralee town centre

Kerry's capital Tralee lies just north of the Slieve Mish mountains and overlooks picturesque Tralee Bay. Famous for its Rose of Tralee International Festival, the bustling town has lots to offer in the way of historical attractions and modern amenities.

Tralee Town Park (one of the largest urban parks in Ireland) is home to 5,000 roses of different varieties, as well as to Ireland's National Folk Theatre Siamsa Tíre. Nearby Kerry County Museum boasts spectacular exhibits of 'Medieval Tralee,' among other archaeological treasures. Meanwhile, a vibrant food scene, a fantastic selection of outdoor adventure centres and watersports, and proximity to the beautiful Dingle peninsula make Tralee a terrific place to live, work and visit.
