Activity Trail to Crag Cave

This activity trail is a fun packed day for all the family! First stop is Ballyseedy Woods which has several options for loop walks along the well-maintained paths through these glorious woods just outside Tralee. Carry on to Glanageenty Wood which covers either side of a steep glen that carries a river of the same name. In recent years through the efforts of the local community, a network of waymarked trails have been developed for the enjoyment of all. Next up is Crag Cave, an ancient fossil cave system. Discovered in 1983 and thought to be over 1 million years old Crag Cave is a magical wonderland of stalagmites and stalactites. It is an all-weather visitor attraction located in Castleisland, Co. Kerry. Crag Cave also has Crazy Cave. Kids of all ages enjoy the Mega Slide, indoor sports court, climbing frames, ball guns, Crazy Maze, rope bridge, spiral slide, ball juggler and ball pools. The Visitor Centre at Crag Cave is home to the Garden Restaurant & extensive Gift Shop offering delicious home cooking with home made scones & pastries available from 10am.
