Billy Nolan Jewellers

The Nolan family, owners of two jewellery stores in Tralee, have a long standing, well established, and much loved presence in the retail industry in Kerry, with earlier generations of the family trading in the town since 1853. Founded by Billy Nolan, Billy Nolan Jewellers, located on Dominick Street, off the town’s main thoroughfare, has been in business since 1966; while the family’s other store, Hilsers, on Lower Castle Street, was purchased in 1993. Since he founded the business, Billy and his team have built up a reputation among their customers for providing quality goods and a superb customer service; specialising in diamonds, with a particular focus on engagement rings and wedding bands; as well as branded jewellery such as watches. The stores’ main trade is from customers from Kerry, Cork and Limerick. In recent years, Billy’s daughters, Louise and Ciara have joined him in the running of the business, with Louise managing Billy Nolan Jewellers, and Ciara managing Hilsers. Much of their success is based on their ability to be continually dynamic, and this can be seen in their newly refurbished showrooms in Hilsers, while both stores reflect a modern cosmopolitan feel with their use of lighting and open layout.
