Originally opened in 1976 by Jerry & Mary O'Sullivan, The Tankard has been under the stewardship of the O'Sullivan Family now for 40 years and is now owned & run by their sons Enda & Adrian, with brother Ian creating fabulous dishes in the kitchen. At the Tankard we love to work with local fresh seafood but we also offer plenty of non- seafood options including duckling, Hereford fillet or striploin of beef and Kerry rack of lamb, seafood is undoubtedly the star here. Much of it is sourced through the owners’ connections with the local fishing community, and the choices range from scallops or seafood mornay and saute crab claws to lobsters fresh from the tank.
