<h1>Mine's a Pint</h1>

<p>Look. Netflix and takeaways are all well and good, and yes, we’ve gotten used to the slower pace of life and even convinced ourselves that the 'sheebeen in the shed' or patio-party is a good replacement for the real thing, but it’s over now. Time to dig around the wardrobe and pull out something that doesn’t have an elasticated waist. Time to resurface and do some full-on socialising. Time, ladies and gentlemen, to go to the pub. And science agrees.&nbsp;</p>
<p>1.	Scottish researchers found socialising with friends <strong>protects men’s mental health</strong>, and it strengthens the bonds between buddies too. Pretty sure it does the same for women. Best gather up the crew and get a socially-distanced round in.&nbsp;</p>

<p>2.	Drink makes you a <strong>better linguist</strong>. Remember the time you were talking to that tourist and you thought you were actually conversing in their language? Chances are you were, maybe. Research from the University of Liverpool, Maastricht University, and King's College London, found that 'slightly intoxicated' people had better pronunciation of languages then their sober peers.</p>

<p>3.	A little tipple helps <strong>loosen the imagination</strong>. Researchers have found that modest, again, we stress that word modest, amounts of alcohol can help the creative process. It’s a thin line though, so know when you’ve gone from innovative genius to repetitive bore.&nbsp;</p>
<p>4.	Go to the pub <strong>just for the craic</strong>. The restrictions are a necessary pain, granted. But if you were ever nostalgic for the days when you could hold a conversation in a pub without giving yourself a sore throat from shouting, now’s your moment. It’s safe, there’s plenty of space, room to sit and no queue for the 'jacks'. It’s the perfect time to get back out and support your favourite pub in Tralee....and the craic is real!</p>
