Good news! Tourism in Tralee is booming again. Hotels, B&amp;Bs and guest houses are reporting massive volumes of bookings this year and our very own town-centre Kiosk is getting through more maps, guides and leaflets than ever before. Things are definitely on the up.&nbsp;
The flip-side, of course, is that high demand equals high cost, so you’d probably need pretty deep pockets if you’re planning a fortnight’s hotel break here in the Kingdom. But fear not. Tralee’s only campsite, The Woodlands Park, with its perfect location and exceptional facilities, (I’ve seen them and they really are outstanding) offers a very attractive alternative. How does a two-week stay for a family of four at just €574 sound? Music to the ears, right? And that includes showers and wifi.
Jane McDonnell, Marketing Manager from the Woodlands Park tells me business is thriving. There are still some spots available for the rest of the summer but they’re filling up fast.
“We are delighted with how things are going and it’s lovely to see all of our regulars return. We’ve invested in the campsite over the years and our new facilities have gone down really well with our campers. We have a new family-shower room, basketball hoop, a magic woodlands area and a football pitch, plus the playground and if the weather isn’t so good, we have an indoor games room too.” Jane said.
Not only is there plenty to entertain the kids at the Woodlands Caravan Park, but it also has the Aquadome, the Omniplex and the beautiful Tralee Town Park on its doorstep too. Plus, a quick read of their reviews on Tripadvisor will have you pulling out your old tent and awning in no time. Sunset barbeque anyone? Yes please.
