Tralee RFC was founded in 1882 making it one of the oldest rugby clubs not only in Munster but in Ireland. The club has a long and proud history of both fielding and promoting the game of rugby and has had countless success stories over the years with many of our players going on to play for Munster and Ireland. Some of our legendary players included Dick Spring, Donal Spring, Barry McGann and others. In recent years, the likes of Ultan Dillane, Ciara Griffin and Siobhan Flemming have made the club extremely proud with Siobhan and Ultan both part of senior Irish teams who have beaten the All Blacks. We have also been hugely successful with regards to Women’s rugby with several players playing for Munster and Ireland. Our current squad have had major success in building and promoting the women’s game. We have the largest Youth and Mini section in the west Munster region and every Saturday morning we have upwards to 300 kids from Under 6 to Under 18 either training or playing rugby. Our underage is on every Saturday morning from 10:30 and our clubhouse is always open if you want to pop in for a chat or a cup of tea.
