Siamsa Tíre is located near Tralee Town Park and is one of the busiest theatres and arts centres in the country. As home to the National Folk Theatre, it enables visitors to connect with traditional Irish culture through a range of immersive cultural experiences including self-guided and Guided tours of the Folk Homecoming Exhibition and Backstage, workshops and intimate performances by members of the National Folk Theatre Cast (subject to Covid restrictions). The Siamsa Tíre Galleries host exhibitions from Irish and international artists throughout the year and during the summer months it hosts the new Folk Homecoming Exhibition. Information on Restrictions Once Covid restrictions for theatres lift, Siamsa Tíre will also return to presenting five months of folk theatre productions between May and September. Siamsa Tíre is also home to the National Folk Theatre Training Academy where it trains young people in the traditional arts and provides year-round workshops in traditional Irish dance, music and song.
