Lough Derg Water Sports

Grab a paddle and learn how to explore Lough Derg with canoeing and kayaking skills taught by accredited Canoe Ireland instructors. Learning is safe, fun and suitable for all ages with kayaks that are stable and safe for beginners. Training for kids and adults, trips to hidden marinas and islands, new skills and lots of fun and adventure are part of the mix. They run kids summer camps and a 12-week kayaking programme to give beginners the skills to take part in the Blueway 10k challenge events taking place around Ireland in summer. Although based at Kilgarvan, they operate all over Lough Derg and guided paddles of sections of the Lough Derg Canoe Trail can be arranged. Lough Derg Water Sports is an independently and ethically run business. Their core focus is safe and fun learning, introducing our customers to the realms of paddlesport and outdoor adventure! Currently, Lough Derg Water Sports aims to provide a service that allows everyone to enjoy the splendour of Lough Derg, southern Ireland’s largest lake on the mighty river Shannon. Abiding by Canoeing Ireland standards, all their work is carried out in a safe and fun manner with the enjoyment of our customers as our main objective!
