The clinic was established in July 2002. It is a custom built, modern facility located on the outskirts of Portumna on the Galway road. It has private parking and is fully wheelchair accessible. The clinic are happy to be able to provide a wide range of services and treatments, for a vast number of complaints and the full age spectrum - ranging from the 3 month old to the 100 year old! A thorough assessment leading to an accurate diagnosis is the main aim. This leads to the development of a treatment plan. Explainig the pathology to the patient and educating them about its course, is paramount to achieving a successful outcome. In addition to the provision of Chartered Physiotherapy, they also have a deep tissue masseuse, specialising in sports massage. This service includes the treatment of sports teams and attendance at sporting games and events. Portumna Physiotherapy Clinic works closely with a multitude of health professionals throughout the country. They liaise closely with G.P.s, Orthopaedic Surgeons, Neurosurgeons, Rheumatologists, Pain Specialists, Neurologists, Physicians, Radiologists, Allied Health Professionals and indeed fellow Chartered Physiotherapists. This insures that they are well informed about your condition and rehabilitative needs, thereby optimising your treatment and outcome.
