<h3>It may have been bleak and dreary weather but that didn&#8217;t stop one community from showing solidarity with the people of Ukraine.</h3>
 Locals in Kilcummin got their walking shoes on and helped raise funds for war torn Ukraine at the weekend.
On Sunday, over one hundred people braved the cold wintery conditions to show help to the beleaguered people who are having to flee their country as a result of Russia&#8217;s invasion.
 The Kilcummin GAA Club fundraising walk, was held in conjunction with Irish Red Cross, and raised &euro;2,400 towards the Ukrainian Refugee Fund. The walk gave members of the local community a chance to come together to show their support for the Ukrainian people, Chairperson Ciara Kelly explained.
 &ldquo;The GAA club wish to express their thanks for the generosity of locals who joined us on Sunday and we are all hopeful of a peaceful resolution as soon as possible,&rdquo; she said.
