<h3>A Killarney teenager is celebrating winning gold and silver at the Dublin International Open Competition for Brazillian Jiu Jutsu.</h3>
A form of martial arts first developed by police in the South American country it has grown worldwide into a sport of its own in a similar way to karate and Taekwondo.
 The Dublin event is the equivalent of the All-Ireland finals in the sport and Filip Jakubowski was the only Kerry teenager to qualify for the event.
 The 16-year-old took up the sport around two years ago when he walked past the Movement &#038; Fitness Club and saw people practicing the sport.
 The New St gym is also home to a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Capoeira Academy and the Dereen-based teenager was instantly hooked.
 &ldquo;It took off from there,&rdquo; the St Brendan&rsquo;s College student told the Killarney Advertiser.
 He won gold in the &lsquo;nogi&rsquo; section of the competition and silver in the &lsquo;gi&rsquo; category.
