<h3>Lotto players in Portmagee are being urged to check their tickets after a player matched five numbers and the bonus ball in Saturday night&rsquo;s draw to win a whopping &euro;156,493.</h3>
The winning ticket was purchased on the day of the draw at Deo&rsquo;s Post Office in O&rsquo;Connell&rsquo;s Foodstore.. &#8239; The winning numbers in Saturday&rsquo;s (February 26) draw were:&#8239;01, 08, 16, 33, 36, 39 and the bonus was 05.
Mark Conway who runs the store with his wife Emir spoke of his sheer delight at hearing the news of the big Lotto win in his store.
&ldquo;It&rsquo;s just fantastic news for our community. The entire area has suffered from continuous storms for the past few weeks, so this is a great bit of news to give us all a lift down here in Portmagee and Valentia Island. Given the time of year and of course the recent weather conditions, we haven&rsquo;t seen too many tourists passing through, so we are hopeful that the winner is local,&#8221; he said.
&ldquo;Great news like this travels fast. I have no doubt that it will give us all an incredible boost and a reason to celebrate some much needed good news for a change.&rdquo;&nbsp;
