<h3>A huge funding announcement for Munster Technological University (MTU) has been welcomed this morning (Monday).</h3>
 Minister for Education and Kerry TD Norma Foley, welcomed the &euro;3,266,915 in funding to support green initiatives and increase accessibility for students.
 The funding can be used to support universal access; energy efficiency and decarbonisation; to help students access laptops and other essential equipment; upgrading buildings and other minor works.
 &ldquo;This vital investment will ensure that MTU continues to lead the way in terms inclusivity and accessibility for all people,&#8221; Minster Foley said.
 &#8220;This significant tranche of funding will also provide extra resources for students to access laptops and key Information and Communication Technology (ICT).&rdquo;
 The funding forms part of ongoing investment in the higher education sector under Project Ireland 2040 and reaffirms a strong commitment to public investment in higher education infrastructure.
