<h3>Liverpool and Republic of Ireland legend John Aldridge will be the guest of honour at an Irish Community Air Ambulance (ICAA) fundraiser in Rathmore next week.</h3>
 Aldridge, who played in two World Cups under Jack Charlton, will visit The Bridge Bar, which is home to a large Liverpool Football Club fan base, on July 8.
 Two separate events are taking place, those who have bought VIP tickets will meet the soccer legend in the lounge area between 7 and 9pm.
 At 9.30pm the same evening, a second event in the main bar is open to all, with funds from both events going to the ICAA which is based at Rathcoole, near Millstreet in Cork, and not too far from the East Kerry village.
 Although it is over 30 years since Aldridge last played for Liverpool and over 25 years since he played for the Republic of Ireland, he remains a fan favourite.
 &ldquo;I hope you all remember me, [I will be telling] few stories about Jack and the lads, it should be good night,&rdquo; said Aldridge in a promotional video that has been shared on social media.
 Publicans Catherine-Ann and Eric Murphy are celebrating 15 years at The Bridge Bar and Aldridge&rsquo;s appearance at the venue is just one of many celebrations organised by the couple.
 &ldquo;It is a bit of a coup &ndash; a big name in a small place,&rdquo; Catherine told the Killarney Advertiser.
 Tickets for the VIP event cost &euro;20. Admission to the later event is free. A raffle will also take place on the night with signed Liverpool and Republic of Ireland jerseys up for grabs.
