<h3>HeartBeat Killarney&rsquo;s Annual General Meeting will take a different format this year after the group learned a more efficient way of doing things during the COVID-19 lockdowns.</h3>
When the pandemic hit HeartBeat had to make a lot of changes so it could meet health and safety conditions to allow the AGM to happen.
 &ldquo;On reflection some of the changes actually improved the way things were run, and this plus consultations with our trustees, brought us to this new way of doing things for the AGM,&rdquo; said chairman Billy O&rsquo;Sullivan.
 Their next AGM will be held on October 5 at 8pm in the Plaza Hotel.
 New requirements, including those attending the AGM, will receive agenda and accounts ahead of the meeting.
 &ldquo;They are expected to read all the various reports beforehand. This will avoid time perusing reports in depth and allow us to deal with matters arising from any report quickly and efficiently,&rdquo; added Billy.
 Applications for AGM attendance must be made to HeartBeat Killarney committee members before September 15.
 Meanwhile, the organisation&#8217;s monthly meetings and wellness sessions continue at the Parish Hall.
 Guest speaker at the August 30 meeting will be Noreen Tobin who specialises Qi Gong Wellness &#8211; a system of body-posture and movement, breathing, and meditation which improves overall quality of life by enhancing mental and physical health, mobility, balance, memory focus and concentration, cardiovascular and respiratory health, immune system, stress, anxiety and sleep.
