<h3>Further details of the new inner relief road in the town centre have been revealed.</h3>
Two weeks ago the Killarney Advertiser unveiled plans to link New Street and High Street via a new Boithir&iacute;n na Gabhann.
 The idea is that traffic on New St could access the top of High St via the Monsignor O&rsquo;Flaherty Road without having to go through the town centre.
 The proposal is subject to land acquisition by Kerry County Council and other statutory requirements like planning permission.
 The Proposed Inner Relief Road linking Boithir&iacute;n na Gabhann would significantly reduce peak hour traffic flows on High Street and New Road. This is recommended, subject to satisfactory junction&rsquo;s design including High Street and St Anne&rsquo;s Road,&rdquo; a Council official said.
 Under the proposed plan, it could be possible to get from New St to the New Road/Rock Road junction seamlessly.
 The Council official added that local authority engineers: &ldquo;Recommended the access from St Anne&rsquo;s Road would be removed&rdquo; and &ldquo;Recommended that High Street would be the minor approach in the medium term, should the Inner Relief Road be implemented.&rdquo;
