<h3>One local team received a much-needed funding boost this week after receiving approximately €1,150 for much needed equipment.</h3>
Kilcummin LGFA benefited from the generosity of The Pavers Foundation who presented a cheque of £1,000.
The last 18 months have been an extremely challenging time for voluntary clubs and organisations as COVID prevented the usual fundraising events from going ahead.
Denise Smyth, who is the Store Manager of Pavers in the Killarney Outlet Centre and also lives in Kilcummin, made the presentation to the club officers to the delight of all members of Kilcummin LGFA.
Club Treasurer Colm Brosnan explained the importance of such a donation at this stage for the club. "With almost one hundred players registered from U12s up to senior ladies, this money will make it easier to fund much-needed equipment as well as helping with the ongoing running costs of a club of this size," he said.
"We are really grateful to The Pavers Foundation for this generous donation and we will ensure it is put to good use for our players."
