<h3>Cromane Seafest hosts its Food &#038; Maritime festival on September 16 to 18 and it looks like it will be a huge hit.</h3>
Hundreds of food lovers, water enthusiasts and families are expected to gather in the beautiful seaside village of Cromane over the weekend to taste the finest of local Cromane oysters, mussels, enjoy the water activities, watch the amazing cooking demos, take part in scuba demos and so much more.
 Friday September 16 kicks off the festival with a Surf &#038; Turf BBQ from 6pm to 8pm. Music from the new up and coming band Simple Things will play throughout the BBQ and this will be followed by music from Brightside Band afterwards.
 On Saturday September 17 and Sunday 18 there&rsquo;s a variety to keep young and old entertained. Off shore there are kayak tours of the bay, beach safaris, SUP boarding and water trampoline to enjoy while on the shore The BIM Arc Project, a Maritime Walk with local guide Frank Walsh, amazing arts, craft and science workshops and chef demos and food trucks to mention a few.
<h3>OYSTER SHUCKING</h3>
The much anticipated 2022 Cromane Seafest Oyster Shucking Champion will also be named with Oyster Shucking Heats throughout the weekend for entrants.
 World Champion Oyster Shucker Stephen Nolan will judge the competition and this year the winner will represent Cromane at the Galway International Oyster Festival on September 24. The winner will also receive two nights stay at a Galway city centre hotel over that weekend so the competition this year is really heating up!
 The festival will end on the Sunday with the annual Blessing of The Boats which always gathers a large crowd on the beach.
 Music will run throughout the entire festival weekend but Saturday night (September 17) the biggest &#8217;90s disco Cromane has ever seen will kick off at 9pm.
 Cromane Seafest is a huge undertaking from a big hearted, proud coastal community to show off their hidden gem to a wider audience.
 &#8220;We have received amazing support from all the local businesses as well as the Cromane oyster and mussel farmers, the Department of Agriculture, Food &#038; The Marine, Kerry County Council Community Support, Cara Credit Union and F&aacute;ilte Ireland also supported the festival hugely,&#8221; Nuala Hurley, Cromane Seafest Secretary, said.
 &#8220;Without help from all these people, the festival would not exist and we are truly grateful to each and everyone.&#8221;
