<h3>It&#8217;ll be an evening with a difference tomorrow (Thursday) as the focus will be on bird box making, storytelling and fun at Killarney Men&#8217;s Shed.</h3>



Taking place from 7pm to 9.30pm, storyteller Sean O Laoghaire, members of Killarney Men’s Shed, Eleanor Turner, Biosphere Officer for the Kerry UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and Luke Myers, Project Biodiversity Officer for the Kerry Eco-Social Farming EIP Project will all be in attendance.



The Kerry Eco-Social Farming Project is working with farms throughout Kerry to support and improve nature on the farm. Part of this work is to create and place bird boxes for several important bird species to encourage them to make their homes on farms in Kerry.



Killarney Men&#8217;s Shed has been working with local communities to build and distribute bird and insect boxes to help protect the birds and pollinators.



The main aim of this event is education about birds, and how the everyday person can help&nbsp;within the Kerry Biosphere – whether that be through habitat management or nest box installation as numbers have been dropping in recent years.



&#8220;This year the Kerry Biosphere, with support from Creative Ireland and Kerry County Council Arts Office, is celebrating the &#8216;Birds of the Kerry Biosphere&#8217; through a series of events and activities planned to encourage local communities to learn more about the birds that can be found in their gardens, and on their farms and what can be done to help them!&#8221;&nbsp;Eleanor Turner, from&nbsp;Kerry Biosphere, said.
