<h3>Killarney could get its own dedicated &lsquo;Craft Quarter&rsquo; if plans unveiled this week come to fruition.</h3>
On Wednesday, elected Killarney Municipal District councillors, were shown plans for the future of the &Aacute;ras Ph&aacute;draig.
 The redevelopment of the Lewis Road site is part of a greater urban regeneration project for the town (see main story on page six).
 Wednesday&rsquo;s presentation concentrated on the &Aacute;ras Ph&aacute;draig element of the regeneration plan but tentative aspects of other projects were also revealed.
 It includes a &lsquo;Craft Quarter&rsquo; in town centre laneways that link Plunkett St to Main St and include places like Glebe Lane and Old Market Lane.
 The &Aacute;ras Ph&aacute;draig presentation was given by Kerry County Council engineer David Doyle who explained that the overall plan will give the town centre a &ldquo;more pedestrianised feel&rdquo;.
 &ldquo;Further plans on the town realm will be given next month or early next year,&rdquo; he told the meeting, &ldquo;The &lsquo;Craft Quarter&rsquo; will give a more pedestrian feel to the town.&rdquo;
