<h3>The Tan Yard restaurant will proceed to the All-Ireland final of the Irish Restaurant Awards in May.</h3>
It comes after the popular eatery at the Killarney Plaza Hotel &#038; Spa was awarded &#8216;Best Sustainable Practices&#8217; in Kerry, at the Munster Regional Final of the Irish Restaurant Awards, following an overwhelming number of public votes.
 The awards, which took place in the Limerick Strand Hotel, saw The Tan Yard compete against some of the best hospitality businesses in the county, to take home the prestigious award.
 Holding sustainability at the core of its ethos, The Tan Yard and its team of dedicated staff take pride in ensuring only the finest quality, locally sourced ingredients are used in the restaurant and this consideration for food provenance is clear in the dishes crafted by The Tan Yard&rsquo;s talented culinary team.
 This dedication to sustainability has also seen The Tan Yard partner with Killarney Urban Farm, Ireland&rsquo;s first Hydroponic Urban Farm and an initiative developed by the O&rsquo;Donoghue Ring Collection. Using aeroponic technology and hydroponic towers, Killarney Urban Farm grows a range of micro-greens which are then used by bars, restaurants and hotels in the Kerry region, cutting out food miles and reducing the carbon footprint of their partners. Killarney Urban Farm is capable of producing high quality food in a compact, urban environment, making it a sustainable agricultural solution.
