<h3>Liebherr Container Cranes is inviting applications to their apprenticeship and engineering scholarship programmes 2022.</h3>
<p>Both programmes are aligned with the academic calendar, reflecting the importance of a blended approach to training and education, with a mixture of practical and classroom based learning. The programmes offer school leavers a number of routes into training, education and full-time employment with Liebherr Container Cranes.</p>
<p>Apprentice programmes lead to craft and academic qualifications and opportunity to continue education to degree level while scholarship programme recipients benefit from paid tuition, work placement, summer work and one-to-one tuition.</p>
<h3>Apprentice programme with an academic qualification</h3>
<p>Run in partnership with Munster Technological University (MTU), Liebherr&#8217;s four year enhanced apprentice programme sees apprentices choose from one of the following disciplines; Electrical, Mechanical Automation and Maintenance Fitter or Metal Fabricator. In addition to their craft qualifications, apprentices complete a Level 6 higher certificate in engineering, resulting in a dual qualification and the opportunity to continue to an honours degree in engineering (Level 8). Apprentices benefit from practical training in Liebherr and get to work on the production of their cranes. In third and fourth year, they get the opportunity to work at Liebherr job sites worldwide as well as participate in an apprentice exchange programme with sister companies in Austria and Germany.</p>
<h3>Engineering scholarships with an eye on employment</h3>
<p>The Liebherr Engineering Scholarship Programme is designed for Leaving Cert and college students who have applied for, or are studying engineering, automation or mechatronics to degree level. Successful applicants will have their college fees paid for the duration of their course, and will benefit from work placements, summer work, one-to-one tuition in Liebherr and the opportunity to progress into full-time employment upon successful graduation. Many previous scholars have gone on to work full-time with Liebherr in many different departments.</p>
<h3>How to apply</h3>
<p>Applications for both programmes close on May 27. Apprentice applicants should send an up to date CV, a copy of academic results and a cover letter specifying the role that they are interested in and why to apprenticerecruit.lcc@liebherr.com.</p>
<p>Scholarship applicants should apply by email to scholarshiprecruit.lcc@liebherr.com. Applicants should include a CV detailing Leaving Certificate/Junior Certificate/college projects and/or results and a cover letter explaining why they have chosen engineering as a career. In the case of Leaving Certificate applicants, a copy of their completed CAO form showing their choice of engineering course should be included.<br />
