<h3>The children of Beaufort are set to have a whole lot of fun when their brand new playground is opened &#8211; after &euro;47,269 was granted for the development this week.</h3>
Located at Kilgobnet National School the playground &#8211; which received the money under Cl&aacute;r Funding &#8211; will be for the whole community to use.
According to School Principal Maura O&#8217;Connor, it&#8217;s an exciting development which is set to bring a lot of fun and smiles to the children.
&#8220;It was a nice message to get,&#8221; she told the Killarney Advertiser.
&#8220;We talked about a playground for the last number of years and Cllr Michael Cahill made us aware of the funding. This will benefit Kilgobnet and the parish, and we will try to get it going as soon as possible.&#8221;
Fianna F&aacute;il Councillor, Michael Cahill added that &#8220;it&#8217;s wonderful news for all the children in Beaufort&#8221;.
&#8220;I am particularly pleased as I was involved in the project myself and I know that a lot of hard work went into the application. This development will ensure the playground will be for the benefit of the whole community in Beaufort,&rdquo; Councillor Cahill said.
&ldquo;I would like to congratulate the Principal, teachers and parents on their success in this venture in Kilgobnet. I hope this will set a precedent for many more similar worthy projects throughout the county.&#8221;
