<h3>Community organisations in the greater Killarney area will receive nearly &euro;200,000 in funding under the Community Enhancement Programme.</h3>
 The funding was announced this week by the Department of Rural and Community Development who provide grants towards enhancing the facilities available to communities. A total of &euro;197,000 has been allocated to clubs and community organisations in the Killarney district.
 Muckross Community Association was one of biggest local groups in the scheme which will get a total &euro;2,500 under two separate allocations.
 Other funding includes: Ballyhar Dynamos FC &euro;1,000, Ballydribbeen Residents Committee &euro;800, Ballyspillane Community and Family Resource Centre CLG &euro;1,500, Ballyspillane Resident&#8217;s Association &euro;1,000, Barraduff Community Field Organisation &euro;1,000, Cheshire Kerry &euro;500, Euro Bridge Club &euro;500, KASI, CLG &#8211; Killarney Immigrant Support Centre &euro;750, Kilcummin Looking Good &euro;1,200, Killarney Celtic Football Club &euro;1,000, Killarney Men&#8217;s Shed &euro;1,500, Killarney Water Rescue &euro;1,200, Muckross Community Association &euro;2,000, Muckross Community Association &euro;500, Social Action Group Rathmore CLG &euro;2,000, The Horizon Group, Kerry Parents and Friends Association &euro;750, Beaufort Community Care Group &euro;1,000, and Beaufort Community Council &euro;1,500.
 &ldquo;I very much welcome this funding which is vital for all the community organisations who work so hard to enhance the communities in which they live. All these volunteers take great pride in their community and the result of all their hard work can be seen in every town, village and housing estates all over this county,&rdquo; said Cllr Marie Moloney, the mayor of the Killarney Municipal District.
