Several 19th century buildings in Pugin’s Gothic Revival style can be seen in the area around the cathedral. The Bishop’s House is home to the Bishop of Kerry. An Ogham stone, which is inscribed MAQI-LIAGMAQIERCA (son of Liag son or Erca), stands on the front lawn near the door. The stone is said to have been found in a river, and was given to the Bishop in 1919.
