Lorimat Jewellers is an award winning family business which has been operating in the heart of historic Kilkenny for more than 20 years and were voted ‘Jeweller of the Year’ at the Irish Wedding Awards 2019. Teresa Brennan, the founder of Lorimat, lived in London during the ‘Swinging Sixties’. It was there that she first became involved in selling antique, vintage engagement rings and wedding rings, and she continued to do so until returning to Ireland and Kilkenny in 1980. Teresa’s daughter Rita took over the business following Teresa’s retirement. She shares her mother’s passion for vintage engagement rings and wedding rings, and continues to carry a wide range of beautiful pieces. The rings feature not only diamonds, but also other elegant and beautiful precious stones such as sapphires, emeralds, rubies, and aquamarine. A range of antique and vintage jewellery including engagement rings and wedding rings helped make Lorimat a successful Kilkenny jeweller. Teresa used her expert knowledge and vast contacts to source beautifully-crafted pieces from both national and international suppliers, to the delight of antique and vintage jewellery lovers in Kilkenny and much further afield.
