As you may be aware, our city is working on a groundbreaking project called the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP). This strategic plan aims to enhance our quality of life by catering to the mobility needs of people and businesses in and around Kilkenny.
The SUMP will focus on making our city more vibrant, user-friendly, healthy, and sustainable by transforming our streets, integrating public transport, and promoting safer walking and cycling infrastructure. The plan is scheduled to be completed by Quarter 4 of 2023 after 12 months of planning and execution.
Now's your chance to be a part of Kilkenny's future! Public Consultation on the Kilkenny SUMP is still ongoing, with two engagements happening this Friday. You can meet the Consultants and Council officials at MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre from 9.00 am to 11.00 am, and at Market Cross Shopping Centre from 3.30 pm to 5.00 pm.
