Success
Over 40 years in the business, Honan’s have been supplying customers at home and abroad with Victorian mahogany furniture, sets of chairs and tables, sideboards, bookcases, garden furniture, oil lamps, clocks, mirrors and cast iron and marble fireplaces, and an eclectic mix of pub memorabilia and smaller items and jewellery. Honan’s provide a full service including the packing, documentation and shipping of containers, all organised on the premises. They also supply furniture to the film industry and are happy to help customers with any queries or searches they may have. The site of Honan’s Antique warehouse, the old Barracks was built on the original site of Gort Castle, which was destroyed by Cronwellians c.1650. Sir Roger O’Shaughnessy was the last chief to reside in Gort and his only son & heir left for France with the Wild Geese. What you see today was once the Cavalry Barracks where over 80 men resided at the time. The building is three storeys high with 10 bays in width and remains in good condition. The store on Crowe Street and the well-stocked warehouse in Barrack Street are both well worth visiting.
