Gilmartin's Pharmacy

Since the 1930s Gilmartin's Pharmacy has been an integral part of the commercial life of Gort. Edward Gilmartin spent his entire working life in Gort until his retirement in 1965. Paddy & Robert Coen have continued providing a Community Pharmacy Service up to and hopefully beyond the present day. The emphasis has always been on the customer, as the pharmacy approaches its 100th anniversary. History is important but so is a general perception that the pharmacy is keeping abreast of the times. Staff are encouraged and supported to attend training courses up to and including qualifying as Pharmacy Technicians. Pharmacists are constantly learning through their participation in continued professional development courses.
