<h4>Shape the Future of Salthill – First Consultation Events Announced</h4>
<p>A series of public consultation events will take place this month to shape the future of Salthill Village and the seafront. The initiative is being undertaken by Galway City Council in collaboration with urban design specialists Allies and Morrison. It will run throughout 2025, engaging with residents, businesses, and community groups to gather input on potential improvements for the beloved coastal area.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<p>A series of public consultation events will take place this month, providing an opportunity for locals to voice their opinions.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Thursday, 6 February</strong> (4:00pm – 6:00pm, Salthill Hotel) – Business community consultation.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li><strong>Friday, 7 February</strong> (11:30am – 1:30pm, Blackrock) – Swimmers and sea-users invited to share their views.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li><strong>Friday, 21 February</strong> (4:00pm – 8:00pm, Salthill Hotel) – Drop-in session for local residents.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li><strong>Saturday, 22 February </strong>(10:30am – 4:00pm, Salthill Promenade) – Open pop-up consultation for the public.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<p>University of Galway students will also be conducting surveys along the prom, with an online option available.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Salthill is an intrinsic part of the cultural life of Galway. The Village and Seafront has a unique role in the daily lives of the people of the city and as a visitor destination. As the city grows, Salthill requires special attention to safeguard and strengthen its role as an urban village."&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
