The Original Claddagh Ring Jewellers. The Claddagh ring, symbolising love, loyalty and friendship, is one of the most beloved hallmarks of the Galway area. Thomas Dillon's Claddagh Gold, which can be found just across the River Corrib from the actual Claddagh area from which it gets its name, is the oldest purveyor of the original Claddagh ring. They’ve been creating the rings in silver and gold since 1750. While many jewellers make rings with the Claddagh motif, Thomas Dillons are the only jewellers that have been dedicated to making the original ring for over two hundred years.
