Pop sensation LYRA returns to Galway with a highly anticipated performance at Leisureland, Salthill, on Thursday, November 7th at 7pm as part of her Love LYRA tour. This year has been a whirlwind for the Co. Cork singer-songwriter, with her self-titled debut album skyrocketing to the no. 1 spot on the Irish charts, outselling Beyoncé.
The album, which features the pop anthems ‘Chess’, ‘Drink Me Up’, and ‘You’, has already garnered over 1 million streams across digital platforms. Since then, she has supported Cian Ducrot in St. Anne’s Park, Dublin and headlined Cork’s Live At The Marquee.
Now, fans in Galway will experience her electrifying performance up close, showcasing both her biggest hits and new tracks, including her single ‘Naked’. The track was co-written at David Guetta’s writing camp with Corey Sanders, resulting in a fun, vibrant song with the danceable rhythm that LYRA, also known as Laura McNamara, is known for.
She will also showcase her most recent release, The Ending, which is a shout out to all the exes out there as she pens a letter to her former love who said "she'd never make it." LYRA’s fusion of anthemic pop rock, coupled with her extraordinary vocals and glamourous stage presence, has solidified her status as a rising star in the global music scene.
She continues to captivate with her free-spirit, honest and unique style, powerhouse vocals, edgy pop tunes, and unforgettable stagecraft. Her career has soared since her track ‘Falling,’ featured in the hit TV series Grey’s Anatomy, earning her global recognition and a nomination for Single of the Year at the 2019 RTE Choice Music Awards.
She is in high demand, performing at major festivals and venues across Ireland and the UK, and continues to climb the ranks as one of Ireland’s most exciting talents. LYRA brings a bold, fresh energy to the pop music world, making her a force to be reckoned with.
Tickets to LYRA at Leisureland on Thursday, November 7th at 7pm cost €30 and are available now at www.monroes.ie.
