HystERia Téatar's latest production, "Taxi!", premiered to a full house at The Mick Lally Theatre, marking a significant milestone for the Galway-based theatre company.
The play, penned by Artistic Director Emily Aherne and directed by Jess Harkin, looks at human connections through the lens of a nocturnal taxi driver.

<h4>In A City That Never Sleeps, Some Souls Are Lost Forever</h4>
Taxi! delves into the life of Matthew, a taxi driver whose nightly interactions with a diverse array of passengers—a nervous job seeker, a single mother, an estranged lover, among others—unveil themes of family, fate, and identity.
These fleeting yet impactful encounters shed light not only on the passengers' lives but also on Matthew's own internal struggles and past burdens.

Established in late 2021, HystERia Téatar has been making waves in the west. The Galway-based company explores new, experimental and multidisciplinary works that engage contemporary audiences.&nbsp;
Their debut performance of Not Like Other Girls! took place at the Galway Theatre Festival. They are passionate about bringing exciting theatrical experiences to Galway and determined to shake up the local theatre scene.
With Taxi! - the amazing ensemble cast take on an array of different characters as it looks closely at the invisible threads that connect us all.

For those who missed the opening night, "Taxi!" will continue its run at The Mick Lally Theatre on February 6th and 7th, with performances starting at 8pm.
