<h4>From London to Galway Airwaves: Sarah Grealish’s Homecoming at The King’s Head</h4>
Galway Bay FM’s Galway Talks took to the heart of the city on Friday, February 7th for a special live broadcast from The Kings Head pub, marking a unique moment for the show’s producer, Sarah Grealish.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Galway Talks community-focused broadcasts bring the show to different parts of the county. However, this episode had a personal twist for Sarah—it was held in her family’s own pub - the historic Kings Head.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Her parents, Paul and Mary Grealish, looked on as Sarah produced the show live from the location, making for what she described as a “strange but special” experience.&nbsp;&nbsp;
“We’ve been covering everywhere, but we hadn’t covered Galway city centre, so this was the perfect spot,” Sarah said.&nbsp;
"The King’s Head has such a rich history, and it just felt like the right place to do the show. But it was definitely a bit surreal. Usually, I’m dealing with pub owners to book the show and they help with guest ideas - but this time, I was dealing with my dad!”&nbsp;&nbsp;

<h4>The Rhythm of The West</h4>
Sarah returned to Galway last June after working in the UK and has settled into the rhythm of the west once again.&nbsp;&nbsp;
“It’s been great getting back into Galway with such a bang,” she said.&nbsp;
“My job is Galway, Galway, Galway, and I’m really enjoying reconnecting with people and hearing these incredible stories. I'm really enjoying it so far. It's a very different pace to what I was doing in London, but I really enjoy it.”&nbsp;&nbsp;
With their Community Matters broadcast, Sarah and host John Morley have scheduled 15 shows to take place in locations across Galway city and county in 2025.

<h4>Stories for Generations</h4>
These broadcasts highlight local communities, businesses, and the stories of elderly residents whose voices might otherwise go unheard.&nbsp;&nbsp;
“One of the most rewarding parts of the show is getting to hear stories from older members of the community—stories that could otherwise be lost,” Sarah explained.&nbsp;
“Some of the things we hear on air, I’m just like, wow, I never knew that happened in this community. Now, we have them recorded for future generations to listen back to and learn about their own history.”&nbsp;&nbsp;
Sarah described the show from the Kings Head as a “lovely” opportunity to bring people together, from business owners to a passerby who spontaneously joined the show.&nbsp;&nbsp;
"It feels like two worlds have collided," she joked given her family connection to the venue.&nbsp;
"It was just lovely to have everyone together in one place."
