The Future is Clean and Round 126 Artist-Run Gallery, Feb 28th

As part of their Meaningful Encounters Programme, 126 Artist-Run Gallery presents The Future is Clean and Round by Elva Mulchrone and Rosa Mäkelä.

Elva Mulchrone will feature her About Time For A Vigil Installation and video works which provide a snapshot into the UK and its social mobility patterns today. Performance and video artist Rosa Makela’s works consider the emotional impact of growing up within the uncertainty of the climate crisis.

There’ll be a special preview of the exhibition tomorrow evening at 6pm. The exhibition runs from Feb 29th - March 15th. Admission is free and all are welcome.

Andrew Maxwell brings his fierce social commentary and cutting edge comedy to the Roisin Dubh tomorrow night in his brand new show Reality.&nbsp;

Comedian Steve Bennett is back for his second Galway event of the weekend. This time he’ll host a Boozy Movie Bingo Brunch and it does exactly what it says on the tin.&nbsp;

There’ll be bottomless gin and tonics by Method &amp; Madness, gameshow prizes, delicious brunch from Merrow Restaurant and plenty of laughs! Be sure to book as spaces are limited. The Blue Notes Choir Blue Note, Feb 29th 

The Blue Notes are a community choir formed in and around their spiritual home - The Blue Note. Led by singer/musician Tracy Bruen the group sings acapella versions of everything from Destiny’s Child to Radiohead, the Flaming Lips to Eurythmics. Since their first rehearsal in June 2017 they have performed at Body and Soul Main Stage, Connacht Rugby and Murphy’s Not Just Black and White.

Their first gig of 2020 sees them return to home ground with a special performance for the Blue Note Bar’s Birthday Bash.
