Eímear Noone made history last night at the 92nd Annual Academy Awards in the Dolby Theatre, Hollywood, when she became the first woman to ever conduct an orchestra at an Oscars Ceremony. 

Introduced by Gal Godot, Sigourney Weaver and Brie Larson, Noone led the 42 piece orchestra through a medley of excerpts from the 5 Best Original Score nominees - Joker, 1917, Marriage Story, Little Women, and Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker. (The Icelandic composer Hildur Guðnadóttir took the Academy Award trophy home for her Joker score.)

Eímear Noone has composed award-winning music on famous computer game titles including World of Warcraft and The Legend of Zelda. She co-founded the Dublin City Concert Orchestra and is co-creator of the Dublin International Game Music Festival.
