John Byrne, founder of Craic &amp; Cultúr Tours, will take you to three different Whiskey pubs, guiding you through a tasting of two excellent Irish Whiskeys, where you can learn about their history and distilling process, the pub’s heritage and place in Galway culture. 

With a passion and love for Galway as well as ten years experience in hospitality and tourism, John is in high spirits over the new venture,

John’s idea for Craic &amp; Cultúr Tours first came about one evening while giving advice to tourists in the local pub he was working in, “ I've always loved real Irish Pubs - the stories, songs and sense of community that only a real local Irish Pub can give. There's something special about it. It's become a passion to share that with locals and visitors alike.” 

Between each venue, John will guide his guests through Galway and give them a unique local insight into the ' Greatest Little City in the World’. 

Both Irish Whiskey and Galway have fascinating histories, “ People will learn about, and of course sample, all the different styles of Irish Whiskey. 

For example, a style of whiskey unique to Ireland that we discovered by trying to dodge paying Tax to the British. As we walk the streets of the city, guests will learn some of the historic stories that make Galway and Ireland so special, and over a whiskey or two hear stories and tales of pubs &amp; drinking from down through the ages to the modern day.”
