Tuam Arts Event To Champion Teenage Creativity and Innovation

~2 minutes read

There will be a Tiny Mutiny at The Mall in Tuam on Saturday, February 1st at 3pm. This dynamic arts event will celebrate the creative talents of teenagers across County Galway. This free event is open to all and promises to inspire audiences of all ages with a vibrant showcase of young artists, filmmakers, musicians, and animators from the 'Tiny Mutiny Project Awards '24' and 'First Sparks '24'.

Empowering Teenage Artists

As a part of this celebration, the event will also serve as a launchpad for Tiny Mutiny 2025, a groundbreaking initiative designed to nurture and empower teenage artists. Tiny Mutiny is a trailblazing initiative commissioned by Galway County Council Arts Office in partnership with Sparkcatchers!, offering teenagers aged 13-17 the opportunity to realise their artistic visions with the guidance of professional mentors and access to a production budget.

Whether working in theatre, visual art, dance, film, music, digital media, or other creative disciplines, young artists or groups are encouraged to apply with their unique ideas. Selected participants will receive a professional artist mentor to guide their creative journey, a budget for materials and practical support and opportunities to showcase their work at an arts event in September 2025.
