Abbey Hill, Kinvara

Abbey Hill is easily accessible and offers a great 'Burren' experience. It has fantastic views across Galway Bay and the surrounding Burren hills and landscape. Start from a good track just off the main road, go through a gap in the wall and head up over classic 'clint' and 'grike' limestone features. Take care with footing as there are many fissures or 'grikes' to slip into. The summit has a large cylindrical cairn.
