In 2016 Rev Gary Hastings unveiled the poem 'Margadh' by Máire C. Holmes on the side of Geraghty's Menswear. Máire Holmes is an Irish poet and writer from Spiddal. Her work has been published in various literary journals and she is a frequent guest on Raidió na Gaeltachta. She has also published a poetry collection, Dúrún (1988).
