Hanna’s is a cafe, bistro and delicatessen located in the heart of Fermoy. Our sizeable premises can seat up to 80 diners in a modern, stylish setting; relax with a coffee on our sheltered terrace or enjoy a delicious meal with the family in one of our cosy indoor booths. Hanna’s is known for its dynamic menu, excellent customer service, and variety of local artisan foods for sale. Our talented head chef Avrum Frankel consistently crafts dishes that are balanced, beautifully presented and full of flavour. Annamaria, our exceptional manager, always extends a warm welcome to diners and shoppers alike. Meanwhile, our staff of 40 including chefs, servers and baristas strive to ensure every experience you have with us is a memorable one. We sell a wide range of teas, coffees, cakes, bread, salad and sandwiches in our shop, while hot food and beverages, soup, and an assortment of mouth-watering desserts are available to order and enjoy in our cafe. All of our delicious cakes and pastries are made in-house. A select number of our dishes and treats, like our Brisket Chilli Nachos and Superfood Salad, are available gluten-free. Visit our Facebook page or pop in-store to see more tasty options. We pride ourselves on our commitment to sourcing only the freshest, locally-grown ingredients for our menu. Fitzgeralds of Fermoy supply meats for popular dishes such as our brisket and Sunday platters, while we source other staples like our eggs, potatoes, bread and cheese from local farms. A selection of the finest Irish and local foods are also available to purchase in-store, such as our St Gall cheese by the Fermoy Natural Cheese Company and bread by the Arbutus artisan bakery. Hanna’s was established in August 2017 by David Ryan. David drew on his 30 years of experience in the retail and food and drink industries to establish an eatery that puts the taste of Ireland front and centre. The name Hannas also pays homage to David’s roots in Clonoulty, Co. Tipperary, where in 1871, David’s great grandfather, James Ryan, married Hanna Gould. Ryan was a common surname in this part of the country — as it happened, 3 other Jim Ryans lived within a mile of each other at that time! As was typical of the times and of small, rural parishes such as Clonoulty, families adopted a ‘nickname’ to distinguish between themselves. As a result, James Ryan became know as Jim Ryan Hanna. The surname ‘Hanna’ has since been passed down through 4 generations and was chosen by David as a tribute to his great-grandmother, and in memory of all the generations that came before him. Hanna’s is currently offering take-away only. Our opening hours have been altered to comply with government regulations. We hope to welcome you back to dine-in soon!
