Crixus Gym is a modern, 4,500 sq ft fitness gym located in Pearse Square, Fermoy. With our extensive facilities and range of classes, we strive to accommodate everyone’s fitness goals, no matter how big or small. Our highly-qualified, friendly staff are very approachable and are more than willing to share advice and help out where necessary. Our facility consists of a free weights area, plate-loaded equipment, machine equipment, an extensive range of cardio equipment, and a functional training zone. When Covid restrictions allow, we use our 2 separate, fully-equipped studios to offer a wide range of high-intensity fitness, yoga, Yogalates and martial arts classes at prices to suit all budgets. All Crixus personal trainers work for themselves offering a variety of packages to help you achieve your fitness goals. Our popular, handcrafted training programme CRIXFIT involves following a session designed by ourselves, which is similar to Crossfit but has a little RB Fitness twist. As this is individual training, clients have their own space to train in and their own equipment to work with. Our spotless changing room facilities and excellent equipment guarantee that clients at every stage of their fitness journey can train to their full potential in a safe, clean environment. We also have staff on the gym floor at all times to ensure you are training in a careful and secure manner. Crixus Gym was established in 2019 by Patrick Walsh and Nicola Mannix. A Fermoy native, Patrick served 22 years with the defence forces before retiring and qualifying as a fitness instructor. He has competed in 4 bodybuilding shows and won 3 podium finishes. He also serves as a retained firefighter in Fermoy. Nicola is a qualified nutritional therapist with knowledge of functional medicine; she previously worked for 11 years with Shreelawn Oil and is a qualified legal secretary with a Bachelor in Irish Law. She also competes in bodybuilding shows and has won podium finishes. For Nicola and Patrick, fitness is their life and Crixus Gym is a lifelong dream realised. They are dedicated to providing the best gym experience and continuously expanding their services to help others achieve their fitness goals.
