Errigal is an ancient Celtic word for safe haven, small church, or oratory. Errigal House is a safe haven for guests and travellers from around the globe. It was purpose built in 1974 and has operated as a guest house for the last 44 years. On arrival you will be greeted by your host Mihaela with a céad míle fáilte (a hundred thousand welcomes). She will give you the access code for the front door, your private ensuite bedroom key, map, directions or other information required. You are welcome to come and go as you please, but if arriving late please be respectful of other guests who may have retired for the night. If your room is not available on arrival, you are welcome to relax in our guest sitting room with complimentary tea / coffee. Our location is second to none. A 20 min bus ride from Dublin Airport (7.2 km) and a 15 min bus ride from Dublin City Centre (2.3 km) with the bus stop, for both directions, just outside the front door. Bus 41 or 16 to or from the airport every 15 mins. 6 different bus line to the City Centre, so a bus is available every 2-3 mins. A hire car is of no benefit in Dublin, but is actually a hindrance due to traffic restrictions and extortionate parking fees in the City Centre. We have a complimentary large shuttered private car park at the rear of the guest house. Guests can have peace of mind having their car, motorbikes etc. safely locked up.
