We are celebrating our 100th parkrun on Sunday the 9th and we would love to see you all there.&nbsp;
We cannot believe we have achieved 100 Cobh junior parkruns.&nbsp;
If you would like to join us on Sunday to run (aged 4-14) or volunteer (15+) then please do, the more the merrier!!!&nbsp;

Brilliant news from Dublin at the start of the New Year. Kate Gardiner was crowned National Senior Indoor tennis champion. This is a huge personal achievement for this unassuming young lady. Its tremendous for her family her club, Rushbrooke her coaches and indeed for Cobh and the Great island. Kate showed her sporting prowess from an early stage, when she was a pupil at Bunscoil Rinn an Chabhlaigh in Rushbrooke. Like most youngsters should do, she tried her hand at most sports and well as tennis, she represented her school in Camogie, Football and would have made an excellent high jumper if she kept that up. At an age group stage, when many of her peers retire from sport, Kate has continued in her chosen sport. Now studying in England, this victory must be the most significant of her career. Looking back Kate was the first sports star honoured by Cobh News, a magazine I founded and produced for nearly 5 years.
